Please do not refer to your afternoon tea as a 'high tea'. Remember, a high tea is served in the late afternoon or early evening (5 pm to 7 pm), taking the place of dinner. It is served at a 'high' table with seated place settings. The foods are heartier and consist of salads, one or two hot dishes, pot pies, cold chicken, sliced meats, cakes, fruit tarts, custards and fresh fruits. The tea may be served hot or iced. The addition of any supper dish would be appropriate.
Whereas our Traditional High Tea is served at table with all items having been prepared in-house on the day specifically for the occasion.
Guests are welcome to bring your own (BYO) champagne for a completely decadent Traditional High Tea experience. We do charge corkage at $2.20 per person and provide champagne flutes.
We recommend for Traditional High Teas or groups of more than 6 people that you book in advance. Don't forget your camera!
